A O.C.U. reconnaissance unit headed by Captain Royd Clive is assigned to study the location of a U.C.S. munitions plant. The plant is attacked by U.C.S. Wanzers. This triggers a chain of events that sends all of the island into conflict. Royd's fiancee, Lieutenant Karen Meure, goes missing in action.
After being discharged from the military, Royd is determined to find out the circumstances surrounding what happened to Karen. The investigation leads him to as he gets closer to understanding the plot that led to the tragedy and the forces that were behind it.
